Bakugan Elemental War is the name of the second season of G's Bakugan series.

The season follows the adventures of G Frost and his partner Bakugan Aquos Breezak in their quest to find and resurrect Aquos Dharak. The storyline revolves around G's rivalry with the other Dragon Tamers and their Bakugan, who each are trying to resurrect their fabled Dragonoid.

Plot[]

Waging War[]

After peace has entered Vestroia, the Six Guardian Dragonoids reign over the land in new order.

However, peace does not last, as conflict erupts between the Dragonoids and their brawlers. Vestroia's six attributable worlds are returned to their former state, and the Dragonoids declare war on every other attributed Bakugan.

Each of the Dragonoid's Brawler, the Dragon Tamers, fight alongside their partner to end the other 5 respective races.

There is a race among the six of them, whoever can evolve into the most powerful Dragonoid first will start the war, and whoever wins that battle will become supreme ruler of the Bakugan.

Drago, the Pyrus Dragonoid, is already at his full potential, having evolved from Fusion Dragonoid into Soldier Dragonoid. Dan, Drago's protector, did not want to follow the war, so he and Drago fled the scene, attempting to put together a plan to put an end to the fighting.

Bolder, the Subterra Dragonoid, was a Neo Dragonoid. He and his partner Terran trained together in order to evolve into a Helix Dragonoid.

Juno, the Haos Dragonoid, was an Infinity Dragonoid. He and his partner Lumos trained in order to evolve into a Neo Dragonoid, but they were unsuccessful, and Juno became trapped between evolution stages, becoming an unstable Hyper Dragonoid.

Nero, the Darkus Dragonoid, was a Neo Dragonoid. He and his partner Linus trained together in order to evolve into a Cross Dragonoid.

Gush, the Aquos Dragonoid, was a pure Dragonoid. He and his partner G trained together in order to evolve into a Delta Dragonoid, but their training only caused Gush to evolve into a Deka Dragonoid.

Ventorio, the Ventus Dragonoid, was a Gust Dragonoid. He and his partner Morro followed the steps to evolve himself into a Helix Dragonoid, having taken on the abilities of a bomb sent from the Pokémon World to wipe out all Bakugan. He was the only Brawler who succeeded in evolving his Dragonoid completely, even if it was only one stage.

The Split & New Partners[]

After Ventorio evolved into Helix Dragonoid, Morro trained him hard to evolve into a Lumino Dragonoid, but their training was halted, when by mistake, the six Dragonoids met before the real battle began. Each Dragonoid was expelled outwards, and all six were lost in Vestroia...

Eight months later, they still hadn't returned. Each Dragon Tamer partnered up with a new Bakugan in order to find their Dragonoids again and win the war... However, they were seemingly all lost for good. The blast even made Dan lose Drago, as well.

G Frost, having lost Gush, partnered with an Aquos Breezak in order to find him. Eventually, Breezak convinced G to end the war before it even starts. His master Dharak is lost out there somewhere as well, and if G finds him first, he could end the war first. G follows Breezak in finding this Dharak so that Aquos Bakugan can reign supreme.

The other Dragon Tamers, having heard that G wants to cheat his way to victory, band together to become his rivals. Linus is angry at G's betrayal of the deal, and partners up with a Darkus Dual Hydranoid in order to stop him. He also battles alongside a Bakugan Trap, Darkhound, and eventually a Darkus Serpenoid and Darkus Percival. Linus and G become rivals as Linus tries to stop G from unleashing the power of Dharak on them, for if he does, their fate will be much different than if Gush were to return.

Meanwhile, Morro teams up with a Ventus Alpha Percival to find Ventorio. When Percival is in a battle and loses, his life force begins to fade away. In his last words, Percival tells Morro that if he wants to win the war before anyone else, he must seek out Fusion Dragonoid or DragnoidA1. Fusion Dragonoid is the most recent evolution of Dragonoid, and he would easily win the war with it, or to find a DragonoidA1, which would have the same consequences as finding a Dharak. A1 Dragonoids are only found in alternate universes, so Morro teams up with the Bakugan Trap Spitarm to go into this alternate universe to find his A1 Dragonoid.

The other Dragon Tamers find partner Bakugan that attempt to assist them in finding their partner Dragonoids.

The War Reignited[]

The first Dragonoid to be found is Hyper Dragonoid, by Lumos. As it stands, it will only take one more Dragonoid being found to ignite the war, then all of Bakugan kind will face off against these Dragonoids. Hyper Dragonoid is now being trained by Lumos to evolve into a Neo Dragonoid.

10 years since the battle began, the remaining active Bakugan are met by Drago who says that the war has only just begun. He shows them four shining lights, where each of the lost Dragonoids are left. He disappears before Reaper can get more answers, and each attributed Bakugan gets a vision of their missing leaders. Spitarm gets a vision and takes off in flight, as well as everyone else, and Juno is the only one remaining. Juno and his partner Lumos realize that they have to train for the upcoming battle with the other five Dragonoids.

Reaper's Betrayal[]

Suddenly, two new species of Bakugan arrive in Vestroia. They claim to be from an alternate dimension. In this dimension, Attributes are known as Factions and there is no Subterra, instead it is replaced with the gold Faction, Aurelus. The new species are inducted into their own respective attribute clans, with the Pyrus Falcron taking over the Pyrus element. This angers Pyrus Reaper, who was in charge first, and his resentment starts to grow.

Sometime later, Pyrus Drago returns in a new form unknown to the rest of the Bakugan called DragonoidA1. He tells them he was able to evolve by passing through one of the rifts in another dimension, supposedly the same one that Falcron and Hydorous passed through. Reaper is angered by this new revelation and demands to fight with Drago for dominance.

The two hash it out, and Deka Scorpion joins Reaper in his battle with Drago. It's a close fight, but Reaper is able to overpower Drago with the help of Scorpion. Suddenly, Reaper has a revelation that he can also evolve using the same power as Drago. He sees glowing hexagons on the ground known as Core Cells and absorbs two of them, allowing him to temporarily evolve. Reaper becomes Death Reaper and begins his barrage of attacks.

Drago is knocked down, and in a fret of emotions, the rest of the Bakugan around watching feel the need to join in to defend him. Death Reaper is able to make quick work of them all, making every single Bakugan return to ball form around him. Juno finally joins in on the battle and battles alongside Dragonoid. The two of them are able to take out Scorpion, leaving only Death Reaper. The pair are unable to finally defeat him, but they are able to corner him which scares him into retreating. Death Reaper escapes through a portal to the Doom Dimension. Before he leaves, he vows that he will transform every remaining Bakugan in Vestroia to a Death Bakugan.

De-Evolution[]

Reaper returns to the Doom Dimension, and de-evolves from Death Reaper. He deduces that Core Cell evolution is not the same as regular Bakugan evolution in that it is not permanent. He devises a plan to gain a permanent evolution for himself, but also comes up with a plan to put a stop to the silly war the other Bakugan have going on. He decides he wants to de-evolve the Dragonoid leaders so that they will be weak enough for him, evolved, to defeat.

Meanwhile in Vestroia, Lumos meets with Drago and decides that they should stop the war entirely now to focus on defeating Reaper, who is a threat to all Bakugan kind. Drago decides he needs a little while to decide.

Sometime later, Reaper returns to Vestroia discretely and lures Subterra Mega Nemus and Subterra Avior back with him into the Doom Dimension. There, he scares Avior into thinking he transformed them both into Death Bakugan. This was actually a lie, and Reaper only did it to test out his new de-evolution powers, which he uses on Mega Nemus to turn him into a first stage Subterra Nemus. He tries to fight back, but Avior drags the both of them out of the Doom Dimension.

They return to the other Bakugan and leaders of each Attribute, and this scares them deeply. Juno uses this as an opportunity to consult Drago about them ending the war to defeat Reaper, but he still needs time to think.

Days later, a ruckus is heard from where the Pyrus Bakugan are residing. It turns out that another new species of Bakugan has entered to this dimension from afar. This Bakugan, a warrior named Aquos Behemos, has come here looking for someone strong to fight. It's decided that if Avior can defeat this new Bakugan, he will take Nemus' place as leader of Subterra until they figure out a way to evolve him. Avior battles with Behemos and wins, becoming the new leader.

Behemos is then brought before the Bakugan Council and is told the truth of his situation. Later, Breezak inducts him into the belief that they can actually win the war, not just end it, by finding Aquos Dharak. Hydranoid overhears this and begins a battle with Breezak. The two of them battle, and with Behemos' help, they overpower him. Behemos ends up taking Breezak's side because he has a strong pride for his Faction.

Return of the Dragonoids[]

Miles and miles away, Ventorio the Ventus Helix Dragonoid wanders through the Doom Dimension. The past 10 years he has been tracking down what remains of the Pokémon threat in Vestroia, but has been called back there by Spitarm. On his way back, he meets with Reaper, who engages him in battle. The two fights, and Reaper attempts to use his De-Evolution Ray on him but misses. This causes Reaper to be weak for a moment, and Ventorio defeats him. Ventorio takes off and meets with Skyress accidentally. Skyress says that he has accomplished his goal over the last ten years and grants him a piece of the Ventus Element to further his progression. Ventorio evolves into a Ventus Lumino Dragonoid, finally, after all these years.

Ventorio returns home to Vestroia and meets with the other Bakugan. He is informed of all of updates that have gone on while he was away, including the news of the cross between dimensions which let Drago evolve further than a Fusion Dragonoid.

Back in the Doom Dimension, Nero the Darkus Neo Dragonoid is also called. He too meets Reaper on his way there, but he lacks the speed of a Helix Dragonoid, and is hit head on by the De-Evolution Ray. Reaper successfully absorbs as much of Nero's power as he can, reverting him back to a basic Darkus Dragonoid. Reaper and Nero engage in battle, but Nero is no longer powerful enough to keep up with the now-evolved Death Reaper. Nero is knocked out, but he somehow manages to escape and return to Vestroia with Reaper on his tail.

The other Bakugan see him in the distance, and Dual Hydranoid rejoices as their fearless dark leader has returned. The Darkus Bakugan gather around center to greet their lost leader but are dismayed to find that he has regressed to a base Darkus Dragonoid and not a Cross Dragonoid.

The other Dragonoids come in to get a better look, and also realize that Reaper isn't too far behind him. They confront Reaper, who tells them that after absorbing the powers of a Dragonoid he is now able to hold his Death Reaper form for much longer. Though it takes a toll on him every time he uses it, he vows to return to steal the powers of the rest of the Dragonoids to make a full evolution. Nero, in a fit of rage, attempts to take him out, but Reaper is still too quick for him, and he takes off.

Nero is caught up to speed about the current issues and agrees that Reaper is a bigger threat to Bakugan-kind than the previous war. Now four out of the six Dragonoids have returned to Vestroia, and those that have agreed to form a truce to defeat Reaper.

Enter Aurelus[]

With Nero back in Vestroia, he soon learns about the immanent betrayal of the Aquos faction. He decides to take action, and wages war over them. The two battle it out, with Nero fighting Breezak over his goal to find Aquos Phantom Dharak. The two sides clash, as the other Factions watch the battle in awe. The Dragonoids refrain from intervening, otherwise the Elemental War will formally begin.

In the middle of the battle, Nero begins to glow, and Breezak fears that he is evolving. The other Darkus Bakugan begin to glow as well, and a portal in the sky opens. The Bakugan from the other dimension know immediately that this is a portal to their old world and find that Reaper has arrived to try to siphon energy off it to evolve. In order to stop him, Ventorio leaps into action and tries to stop Reaper, but gets caught in an energy blast from the portal and falls to the ground. Reaper backs off, as two Bakugan balls fall from the sky.

One lands near the bystanders, and the other lands next to Nero. They are called Nanogan, an ancient form of Bakugan that are much smaller than the typical Bakugan. The one that appeared next to Nero was known as Darkus Nano Scorcher, and the other was called Aurelus Nano Siphon. Siphon introduces himself, as the rest of the Bakugan meet their first Aurelus Bakugan. The other-word Bakugan reveal that they have healing capabilities, and Siphon uses its power to save Ventorio.

This causes Ventorio to evolve, transforming him into Ventus Platinum Dragonoid. Ventorio awakens and ceases the conflict between the Darkus and Aquos Factions. He is now the most powerful Dragonoid in the group, and because of that, the rest of them strive to evolve to this point as well.

He brings Bakugan-kind together to tell them that their main goal is to defeat Reaper, and quarrels within Vestroia will not be tolerated. Breezak and Nero form a temporary truce, and the Darkus Bakugan welcome Scorcher into their clan. Siphon creates his own domain in Vestroia for future Aurelus Bakugan that may arrive. This makes it so that only 4/7 Dragonoids have been found. It may be that if/when Aurelus Dragonoid appears, he will dictate the end of the war.

Siphon uses his power to heal Nemus to return him to Subterra Mega Nemus, and promises Nero to return him to his rightful state, however he is too weak from using his power on Nemus, and healing a Dragonoid may take extra power. He introduces himself to the rest of the Bakugan in the meantime, and they welcome him with open arms. As they are discussing how Siphon and Juno are the only members of their respective Factions, a portal opens up in the sky, revealing a Ventus Bakugan.

The others go to investigate, and Ventorio finds out that it is a Ventus Trox from this other dimension. They induct Trox into Vestroia and he learns about their customs and the current situation with the war.

Reaper suddenly invades Vestroia, now able to evolve into Death Reaper whenever he pleases. The Bakugan go in for the attack, but he is able to make quick work of them, noting that there are some new faces around him. He battles every Bakugan until only the Dragonoids are left, but even they aren't strong enough on their own to best him. He gets into a heated battle with Ventorio, but ends up capturing him. He begins siphoning his power and creates a forcefield around him. The other Bakugan join in to stop him, and Drago looks upon them, happy that the Factions were able to be united at last.

They end up breaking the barrier and stopping him, but he took a great deal of power from him and is able to knock back all the Bakugan except for Drago. Drago saves Ventorio, and realizes he's lost a lot of power, but Ventorio helps him by transferring his remaining power to him. Reaper tries to stop it, but he isn't fast enough, and Drago evolves into a Pyrus Platinum Dragonoid.

He fights back with Reaper using his newfound strength and knocks him down. He uses a blast of pure elemental energy, harnessing the power of all Bakugan into the blast, and hails it at Reaper. Reaper tries to block it, but he is unable to absorb the blast and his wing is knocked off. He is purely and utterly defeated, and escapes into the Doom Dimension in shame.

The rest of the Bakugan reunite to celebrate Drago evolving to his fullest potential, as well as Ventorio. Half of the Dragonoids have been found, and half of those have reached their full potential. They are making so much progress, albeit slowly.

Four months after the Dragonoid Council reached half its members, the Bakugan of Vestroia met again for Aurelus Siphon to reveal big news: They have built enough power up for Aurelus Dragonoid to enter Vestroia. He finally enters and blesses all of Bakugan-kind with his ultimate golden power. They all bow to him, but he proclaims that he is not their God nor their master, but another member of the council. He commends the Elemental Guardians for their efforts and swears that when the seven of them come together they will end this war once and for all.

It All Goes Falling Down[]

The Dragonoids come together when they sense a disturbance in the Doom Dimension.

Meanwhile, Death Reaper chases two Bakugan and siphons off their power. He has finally reached the amount of power he needs to pull Elemental Energy from the alternate dimension and finally evolve into Fury. This opens an inter-dimensional portal from the Doom Dimension to Vestroia, finally setting Death Reaper free.

The Bakugan he was chasing, Darkus Warrior Whale and Ventus Sledge, assimilate into their tribes and are welcomed by the Dragonoids, but their sheer numbers compared to where they started are no match for Pyrus Fury. He battles the entire species at once, and is able to seal four of the five Dragonoids into ball form. He is making them his trophies. Before Drago can be sealed, he notices that the tribes of the Dragonoids that are being sealed are being turned to stone, and he warns the Aquos and Subterra tribes to take Lumos and run far far away.

Drago is sealed into his ball form and the Aquos and Subterra Bakugan come together to save Lumos from Fury. Fury is complacent, as he is ready to siphon the power of four Dragonoids, however he finds out that his siphoning powers were left behind in his previous evolution. It is no matter for him, as he has four trophies, and he makes it his goal to find the other three. Lumos is still out there, he is ready to hunt him down.

Meanwhile, the Aquos tribe begrudgingly helps Subterra care for Lumos, who has been knocked out. Their plans to resurrect Aquos Dharak are put on hold so they can save face, so while they want to assume complete control of Vestroia, they must first pretend to go along with saving Lumos so they can take out Fury and find Dharak.

While observing his trophies, Fury realizes that the Dragonoids that evolved through means of siphoning power from the other dimension are merely borrowing power, causing each of them to de-evolve (or merely revert) into their previous forms. Ventorio is the first to wake up, again as a Lumino Dragonoid, and battles with Fury. While he is not at his full power, he is fueled with the desire to save his comrades. He is able to escape the Doom Dimension with the other balled Dragonoids and re-enter Vestroia. It is there he meets the Doom Guardian, a Bakugan he did not expect...

Trivia[]

  • I'm using this page as an excuse to show my collection lawl
  • Reaper has two evolutions in this series that aren't in either canon series. He first evolves into Death Reaper, which is a Bakuzon from the previous season, and then to Nano Fury.
    • This is because it is rumored that Fury from the Bakugan TV show may have been an evolved form of Reaper, however a toy version of this Bakugan never existed. Years later with the reboot series, a Bakugan known as Nano Fury came out, and while they technically aren't the same, they have the same name, so I'm using it as his evolution.
      • Uhhh I fucked up and bought a green version instead of the red one, so I swapped the Ventus and Pyrus Nanogan just for continuities sake.
