“You grow wiser in your years, Garmadon. There's nothing to save you. Take in your last moments, Lord Garmadon, and know that it was I who defeated you. And I who will take your title. I, Lord Clouse!”
Clouse is the former right hand to Chen and a master of the Dark Arts. He is a major antagonist in Tournament of Elements, a minor character in Possession and Skybound, and the main antagonist of The Dark Island Trilogy and Way of the Departed.
Clouse originally worked for Chen during the Serpentine Wars and was banished with him to Chen's Island for their war crimes. 40 years later, he would assist Chen in their mission to transform themselves into Anacondrai but would get banished to the Cursed Realm by Garmadon. He was somehow able to escape before its destruction and attempted to steal the dragon egg of the Yin Yang Dragon. He would be stopped by Kai and Nya and be forced to find an alternative method of world domination.
Later, he found the Teapot of Tyrahn, which inside contained a mythical Djinn capable of granting wishes. He ordered the Djinn inside to give his spell book back and to make him human, but he was tricked and was contained inside of the teapot. The timeline this took place in was erased, meaning he never found the teapot, and went on his way.
His next course of action was to venture to the Dark Island to assemble the Shadow Army and turn Ninjago into darkness, but once again his plan would be thwarted, this time by Wu. In the battle between the Golden Mech and Dark Mech, Clouse would be banished to the Underworld, as his rival Garmadon had once before.
There, he tried to find a way out by using Edo magic, drawing on Cole's ghost scar and the people of the Edo town of Nom.
