Go! Ninja

Go! Ninja (2028) is a reboot of the classic Ninjago franchise. This page is alternatively titled Ninjago Release Timeline.

Galleries in each section are from my own predictions pre-release of that season. Key: Title card/ poster prediction based on set leaks, recreation of the Lloyd suit from that wave, villain recreation from that wave, title card prediction based on the most amount of info I can squeeze out before the actual show comes out, and finally a title card recreation in the previous WilFilm APS style. The order that the pics go in is pre-release, leak season (x2,) hype season, and post-release.

Season 8[]

This season was before I started all of the trends, but they were there in some capacity. It's also the furthest I can go on my Instagram's where I can see my thoughts and reactions. The first word, from what I can remember, started in July with San Diego Comic Con 2017, then sets were leaked in August while I was on vacation. Figures leaked during those last few months of the year and more stuff started coming out as 2018 began.

Season 9: Hunted[]

For this season I correctly predicted the name, Hunted. My first guess was Herders, but my second ended up being right.

Leak season for Hunted overlapped with the actual release of Sons of Garmadon. In the typical fashion, sets leaked, then images, then figures, then it was officially revealed and released. Iirc there was no "first word" with this season because it pretty much came out back-to-back with Season 8.

Season 10: Origins[]

Correct title: March of the Oni

When I heard they were reusing the old sets and characters I imagined a retelling of the Pilots, kind of like a Pokemon Origins type thing... and this ended up happening.

First word of Season 10 slowly began circulating during Hunted's release. It was officially revealed, briefly, before the sets. While in the previous season the hype went along with the season before that, there was a drought time for this one, which usually happens when the year changes. Most of the leaks happened at the end of 2018 and the season was first released in January 2019.

Season 11: Fire 'N Ice[]

Correct title: Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu

I knew about Fire 'N Ice the sequel of Solomon's Key for a while, but when I heard about a season about Fire Snakes VS. Ice Samurai this came to my head immediately!

We learned of the existence of this installment incredibly early due to the reveal of a snippit of the script in a future episode ("The News Never Sleeps.") Set information leaked around the time that March of the Oni was beginning to air, and the first figures started to be shown after Season 10 was finished. In this case s11 leaks were not too far off from the release of the previous season, so we weren't waiting long. Hype season started during MotO's release. Leakages and official statements were more scattered this year.

Season 12: Secrets of the Ninjago Digiverse[]

Correct title: Prime Empire

For this season I really couldn't think of a possible name, so I never made a proper logo for one. I came up with "Secrets of the Ninjago Digiverse" poking fun at the last season's name but I never did anything with it. I did make a Lloyd post and a main villain post as well, unknowing of the trend. Now I know...

I can't find record of the set leaks, but I think they happened around Spring/Summer 2019. Hype season started during the release of the Ice Chapter in the previous season. More unlike tradition, leaks for this season were plentiful during the release of the 2HY 2019 wave. In early January we got the Prime Empire Original Shorts to hold us over a few months before the actual season dropped.

Season 13: Dungeons & Ninja[]

Correct title: Master of the Mountain

When leaks came out about the Skull Sorcerer and the dungeons and what-not I guessed for the fun of it, Dungeons & Ninja, but the leak of the Skull Sorcerer came out and on his torso he has "Dead Rise" written on him... I just assumed that was it...

First word was unknown, but skeletons and dungeons were a thing that was speculated on for a while. Sets started leaking around the time Prime Empire started to air, and figure leaks came out at the same time the previous season premiered. Sets officially came out the day before Season 12 ended. It took about two months for any more information to come out, and then it premiered shortly after.

Jungle Fury[]

Correct Title: The Island

The theme for this season is that it all takes place in a jungle or something, and it's basically a Lloyd season. When I heard jungle, I literally could only think of one thing, and that's Power Rangers!

Weirdly enough, we got the first word for this installment BEFORE Season 13, when the script for Episode 301 was revealed. After the end of Master of the Mountain we returned to the usual transition-year hiatus. Leak season wouldn't start for about five months. COVID-19 may also have impacted this somewhat. Set leaks didn't happen like regular this time around, things just started coming out in around October. Leaks were scarce and short-lived for this installment, and the seasons release only lasted three weeks.

Season 14[]

Title: Seabound

I've been saying that a season one of these days would be a Nya season and... here we are. I actually missed out on making a name prediction (again) so the logo for this section I'm just gonna do the actual title "Seabound."

We got first word of this season, although we didn't know it at the time, when we found out that Maya was coming back for the show. Set leaks began circulating around the time that The Island information was starting to come to the surface. Contrary to how things usually go, the season actually released before the sets were officially revealed (set images leaked beforehand, though) Seabound came out only a week after The Island ended. Because they aired so close together, hype season started up around the time that The Island started airing (as per tradition.) Hype season and official release were kind of merged in this season. Figures were leaking as the episodes were coming out, all before the official set images were released!

Season 15: Age of Aurelus[]

Correct title: Crystalized

Set leaks talk about golden dragons and Crystal Samurai? Some people are really into all the crystal stuff but I'm focusing on the gold! I'm into Bakugan right now so this fits well with the Aurelus Bakugan!

The first thing to get revealed for this season was the title of episode 10: "The Benefit of Grief." This season's release was wonky because of the release of Ninjago: Core. Core had its own set waves and a series of mini episodes that aired on YouTube and took the spot of a 1HY 2022 installment. Set leaks started appearing in early 2022 while Ninjago: Core discussion generated little hype. Core sets and descriptions were originally mistaken for Season 15, but even those didn't come out until the second half of 2021, so the end of Seabound marked another release hiatus (as is typical between years.)

In early March, a Portuguese cartoon channel put out a teaser trailer for the season, giving us the seasons intro for Episode 2 of the season, as well as a brief clip at the very end. This predated set image leaks, which is not typical. The first set image leaked the next day. An official poster was revealed on April 20th.

GO! Ninja Season 1: United[]

Correct Title: Dragon's Rising

Set leaks talk about some vague things like new characters and names, but most interestingly, new characters! Figure leaks came out and for sure new Ninja have been added to the team, and they're younger. More descriptions talk about a time travelling multiverse shenanigans. The first footage released basically confirming this, with the sky above Ninjago lighting up with different realities leaking into our own. The release seems pretty smooth, too, the official LEGO account posted the footage before anything, and the writers online acknowledged it. New show is pretty good, and the release is good.

GO! Ninja Season 2: The Blood Moon[]

Correct Title: Dragons Rising Season 2

Figure leaks seem to show Ras as a main antagonist if not the main antagonist, he wears purple and blue, and the villains are wolf people with the same color scheme. NOT like how Ras is animaloid, but humans wearing wolf masks. Their outfits say WOLF in Ninjagian on them. Sets show the Ninja in some mechs fighting the baddies, there's more sets to see. Theme is dark and brooding, huge focus on the Blood Moon, which previously appeared in Season 1.
