“I can't die here... I need to determine the truth..." When those thoughts overcame me, I awakened to that power--a most fortunate accident.”
Robin Hood is the initial Persona of Goro Akechi, and a Demon in the Shin Megami Tensei series featured in Persona 5.
Robin Hood is one of Goro Akechi's Personas, and the Persona he uses while he is a party member. As later revealed, Akechi has the power of the Wild Card, and has access to another Persona, Loki, whom Akechi primarily used before he became a party member.
When fused with Loki it forms Akechi's Ultimate Persona, Hereward, which is only available in Persona 5 Royal.
Physical Appearance[]
Robin Hood generally resembles an exaggerated caricature of a superhero, with a large muscular frame and a red-white-blue color scheme with gold trim. His breastplate is colored blue with a gold "RH" logo on it. His shoulders are decorated with red-gold epaulettes and he wears a flowing two-piece cape that is blue on the inside and white on the outside. He wears a red belt with a silver buckle that has a wing-design on it, supporting a black-white skirt and black-white tights that lead into white boots.
Design Variants[]
Concept art for Robin Hood shows him in little detail among other initial Personas, but shows his iconic bow being used as a spear for an attack.

Powers & Abilities[]
Robin Hood's skill roster focuses on single-target Bless, Curse and Physical skills (as well as instakills) along with Almighty skills. Although under normal circumstances, Akechi will leave the party before all of his Persona's skills are learned, Robin Hood's final skill is Debilitate, which is the strongest debuff in the game, lowering one foe's Attack, Defense, and Accuracy/Evasion for 3 turns.
Literary Origins[]
Robin Hood is a heroic outlaw in English folklore who, according to legend, was a highly skilled archer and swordsman. Traditionally depicted as being dressed in Lincoln green, he is often portrayed as "robbing from the rich and giving to the poor" alongside his band of Merry Men. Robin Hood became a popular folk figure in the late-medieval period, and continues to be widely represented in literature, films and television.

Trivia[]
- Robin Hood fought against the evil Sheriff of Nottingham who was loyal to Prince John who had stolen the throne from his brother, Richard. Later stories introduced the Guy of Gisbourne, an assassin sent for Robin’s head who eventually became part of a love triangle with Marian.
- According to the comment in the Design Works, Robin Hood's design is based on the comic book hero Superman. The prominent "RH" shield logo on his chest not only echoes Superman's "S" shield, it also reflects the letter "A" on Akechi's attaché case, a symbolism of his desire for public recognition.
