Kodokuna Yang is the creator of Airjitzu and master to the students of the Airjitzu Temple. He is a key character in Possession, has a cameo appearance in Skybound, and is the main antagonist of Day of the Departed.
Yang became a master of martial arts and a teacher to many students and was obsessed with eternal life. He created the martial art of Airjitzu to literally be above everyone else and used the mythical Yin Blade to harness the power of life. When he tried to use it on himself, him and his students were cursed to be ghosts that haunt his temple forever. Years later, he would be visited by the Ninja seeking to learn Airjitzu. He would teach it to them, but at the cost of turning Cole into a ghost.
During the Day of the Departed the next year, during the Yin-Yang Eclipse, he would attempt to harness the power of the Yin Blade again and return to the mortal plane. His plan backfired, and he learned the error of his ways, returning Cole to normal.
He is the creator and a master of Airjitzu.
